[OD] Tax on Election Winners

Losses: 15% of individual's money towards the fund, requires no money from the fund.

Purpose: To help increase the funds and to show willingness to give for this.

Procedure: Newly elected members will put 15% of his or her cash into the fund.

This tax will be payed every month after every election, even if you run for 2 terms in a row.

I don't agree with this.

I had 50m, and that means I'd have to throw in 7,500,000(which I would do anyway If I still had that much, but others may not want to).
Also, at the moment I have 100k which means my fee would be 15k which is nothing.

I do agree with the idea that people who've been elected should have to have donated some amount to show that they even care.

I'm not too fond of this idea as it may scare away potential NEWB applicants with lots of money. The fund should be treated as a charity; one should only give to it if they feel compelled to, not because they're forced to.

No. This would make the wealthier people of the community less encouraged to run for the board.

I say no because not only it would scare away the wealthier people but also the poor people of the community because nobody wants to have a portion of their money taken away.
